I’m fortunate to be invited to podcasts and panel discussions on a regular basis, and every conversation is special in its own way. This time, however, I had the chance to be part of a format that I genuinely loved: 7-49 by THE BONDZ.
The concept is simple yet brilliant: seven topics, seven minutes each. It sounds manageable at first-until you realize just how quickly seven minutes fly by. You really have to keep your thoughts concise, get straight to the point, and still leave people with something meaningful. That’s exactly what makes this format so engaging.
We talked about a wide range of topics. Of course, we also discussed my time at the World Championship with the German national team and the experiences that continue to shape me to this day.
One topic, however, touched me more deeply than any other: the loss of my father. It’s not something I talk about in every interview, but this time it felt right. Grief is something all of us will encounter at some point in our lives. It changes us, turns our world upside down, and, above all, takes time. I spoke openly about how I’ve learned to live with this loss, what gives me strength, and why I believe it’s so important to talk about the difficult moments in life as well. Those are often the conversations that give others hope and remind them that no one has to face grief alone.
If you ask me, that’s exactly what makes this podcast so special. It’s not just about achievements or uplifting stories-it’s also about the experiences that shape us as human beings.
