From the Microphone into the Ring – My First Step as a Wrestler

From the Microphone into the Ring – My First Step as a Wrestler

Have you ever wondered what it feels like to step into a wrestling ring yourself? Not as a spectator. Not as a ring announcer. But as someone standing right in the middle of it all, with every eye in the arena focused on you?

Well, I did it.

In December, the time had finally come: for the first time, I stepped into a wrestling ring as an active participant rather than as a ring announcer. And honestly? I was incredibly nervous. The excitement was overwhelming, my thoughts were racing, and the closer the moment got, the more I realized that this was not going to be an ordinary evening.

What made it even more interesting was that most of the people in the arena were not exactly on my side. Quite the opposite. Some friends and acquaintances who would normally never attend wrestling events had suddenly found their way to the venue. Not to cheer me on… no. They wanted to see me get my ass kicked. And that’s honestly not an exaggeration.

But somehow, that was exactly what made the evening so special. The atmosphere, the tension, and the emotions were almost impossible to describe. Once I finally stood in the ring, my nervousness slowly turned into pure excitement. In that moment, everything else faded away.

I am especially proud to have shared this experience with Christopher Dawson, Alex Cee, NOK SU KAU, and, of course, wrestling icon Boombastic. Standing in the ring alongside personalities like them is something you don’t experience every day.

These memories will stay with me for the rest of my life. No matter what the future holds, I will never forget my first appearance as an active wrestler. It was a unique experience that shaped me and showed me just how special this sport and its community truly are.

In closing, there is only one thing left for me to say:

Thank you to ACW for this unforgettable opportunity. Thank you for the experience, the emotions, and an evening that I will remember forever.

Have you ever done something that you had tremendous respect for or were genuinely afraid of? Sometimes it’s worth taking the plunge into the deep end… or, in my case, into a wrestling ring. 😉
